The Stihl MSA 60 is a lightweight cordless chainsaw designed for everyday jobs around the garden. With its 12″ bar, it’s ideal for chopping firewood, trimming back branches, general woodworking, and even felling small trees up to 20cm thick. No petrol, no cords – just grab it and get stuck in.
Stihl have thought through the details to make this saw simple and comfortable to use:
Ergo back-handle lever – shaped for comfort and easier control, even when you’re cutting at awkward angles.
Variable-speed trigger – fine control over chain speed, perfect when switching between jobs like pruning shrubs and cutting timber.

The MSA 60 runs on Stihl’s AK battery system, so you can swap batteries between other compatible Stihl tools. Pair it with the AK 20 battery and you’ll get around 40 minutes of run time (roughly 160 cuts). Step up to the AK 30 or AK 30 S and you’ll stretch that to 55 minutes.
