Est. 1978 Our Story
Dick Leigh began in 1978 in the garage of Richard Leigh and his wife, Ann, in Billington. With Richard’s passion for tools and his talent for “fettling” machinery like chainsaws, they launched the business as an enterprise, built on hard work, determination and a commitment to doing things properly.
From these humble beginnings, the company relocated to Barrow in 1983, with the business moving alongside the Leigh family. The new premises provided space for the company to grow and develop its offering. In 1985, they welcomed a new member who remains with the business to this day – a testament to the strong working relationships at the heart of Dick Leigh.
Today, Dick Leigh operates from its expansive workshop and showroom in Barrow, supported by a friendly and knowledgeable team that still continues to grow. The business has always been driven by dedication and an unwavering focus on providing high-quality products and dependable repairs, alongside a personable service that builds lasting customer relationships.
