Stihl MSA 60 Battery Chainsaw
The Stihl MSA 60 is a proper bit of kit for anyone who wants the freedom of a chainsaw without the faff of cables or petrol. Lightweight, cordless and fitted with a 12” guide bar, it’s built for jobs around the home and garden – cutting logs for the fire, pruning branches, tackling DIY woodwork, or even taking down small trees up to 20cm thick.
Stihl have packed this saw with clever features that make it easy to live with:
Ergo lever on the back handle – shaped for comfort so you can work at different angles without strain.
Variable trigger control – lets you adjust the chain speed depending on what you’re cutting, whether that’s a tricky shrub or a solid bit of timber.
Transparent chain oil tank – a quick glance tells you when you’re running low.
Tool-free chain tensioner – remove the sprocket cover and adjust the chain without rummaging for a spanner.
¼” PM3 saw chain – delivers a neat, precise cut with plenty of bite.
It runs on Stihl’s AK battery system, giving you the flexibility to swap packs across other tools in the range. With the recommended AK 20 battery, you’ll get around 40 minutes of working time (about 160 cuts). Step up to the AK 30 or AK 30 S and you’ll squeeze out up to 55 minutes.
